I've got three timetables so far (aside from my own) and it really doesn't look like there's a good time to hold the meeting. So the options are: 1. force people to come in on their days off; 2. force people to skip classes; 3. hold the meetings online at an agreed-upon time.

If 3., then I propose we establish an IRC channel for the purpose, because that makes it easy for other people to observe the meeting if they so choose, as long as the day and time are published in advance. Also we can just copypasta for instant minutes. Everyone wins.

Y'all's thoughts?

Because MSN convos have to be created anew every time, and you have to invite people in, which makes it annoying to accomodate observers.

IRC is actually very easy if all you want to do is visit a single chatroom. I'm using the ChatZilla client which is a firefox plugin, and it loads the soba-scans room whenever I start it because I told it to do that. I don't need to change any settings ever. Simplicity itself.

Also we can add an IRC client linking to our room on the website itself (once again, just like soba-scans).

I'm in on my days off anyways, so feel free to schedule the meeting on those days.

You would have to teach me that IRC Thingy, im an MSN purist.

Yeh the one i sent you got a bit changed (seeing as im doing the exact same course as smith, just one lab time different) and stuff got gayed - will send you another soon. Im perfectly happy to do it online, or to miss out if grunts aren't needed.

I'm pretty sure our hosting company wont let us run an irc from within our sever. This is the best solution I have atm.
